  • LG Summer Meetings

Ladies of the Parish! The official start of Summer is about 4 weeks away! Summer also marks a change in the Ladies Guild meeting schedule. During the summer months our members come together to relax, share community and friendship. At these drop-in sessions, there is no formal meeting agenda, rather a chance to stay connected.

We meet the first Wednesday of the month from 11:30 to 1:00pm in the Parish Center. Bring your lunch and enjoy sharing your thoughts or ideas with fellow members. Our first summer drop-in is Wednesday, June 4th. We hope to see you then!

  • Ladies Guild Meeting on May 7

All Ladies of the Parish! Our next Ladies Guild meeting, to be held May 7th, 6:30 pm at the Parish Center, is the last meeting of our 2024-2025 season.

In keeping with tradition there are 3 parts to this meeting: we begin with drinks and appetizers at this year’s luau themed meeting as greetings and camaraderie begins. Next is a special Devotion to the Blessed Mother, during which we remember all our Mothers, living and deceased ending by Crowning Our Blessed Mother. As this is an election year we will then have the installation of the officers.

Following these activities we will continue the meeting with friendship and food!. This is a pot-luck affair so we ask that everyone bring either a heavy appetizer, salad or dessert. In addition, please also bring a flower for the Blessed Mother. Extra flowers will be available if you are unable to do so.

As always, if you need or know someone who needs a ride to the meeting, please contact Judy: 650-207-1210 or fkarl99@aol.com for arrangements.

  • Ladies Guild Honors Norma on her 100th Birthday

Ladies Guild recently celebrated Norma Teldeschi’s 100 birthday during their April 2 meeting. It was a happy occasion with balloons, cake, greetings and gifts. Norma and her family were early residents of Belmont’s Sterling Downs neighbhorhood and part of God’s garage. She was very active in Ladies Guild; as shown in the photo clipping from the San Mateo Times newspaper publicizing a dessert fashion show fundraiser in 1965 for the new church multi purpose building.

She continues to live in the family home with her daughter. Her days are filled with family, friends from Belmont, Senior Center and attending Ladies’ Guild meetings. Birthday blessings, Norma!!!

Our official biennial election of officers will take place at this meeting. In addition, we will have reading of a spiritual reflection to help us in keeping with the Lenten Season. We look forward to seeing all of you at the meeting.

If you need or know someone who needs a ride to the meeting, please contact Judy: 650-207-1210 or fkarl99@aol.com for arrangements.

  • Lenten Socks & T-Shirt Drive

    March 15-30, 2025

Ladies Guild Lenten Outreach of SOCKS & T-SHIRTS FOR THE UNHOUSED and IN NEED, is underway and continues through next weekend. We are asking for new warm men's socks. Men's athletic socks are preferred as well as men's T-shirts, size L or XL.These essential items are used in homeless shelters or encampments in San Mateo County. Donated items will be distributed to Life Move’s Navigation Center, Samaritan House’s Safe Harbor and Catholic Worker House in Redwood City.

With the cold temperatures and damp conditions, the need is great and vital to so many in our area. If you are able to help, please bring your items to mass and leave in the bins in the Church workroom. to the right side of the altar.

  • Ladies Guild Meeting

    March 5, 2025

Ladies of the Parish! This year, our March meeting falls on Ash Wednesday which changes our routine quite a bit. We will still meet on Wednesday, March 5th at 6:30 pm in the Parish Center but the agenda will be quite short allowing those members who want to attend the 7:00 pm Mass to do so. We will discuss our Lenten Season activities, Friday Soup and Stations, the sock and tee shirt drive and our Excel Breakfast hostess dates. We will be collecting socks and tee shirts on the weekends of March 15 through March 29, which supports our outreach programs.

Also, as this is an election year for our Ladies Guild Officers we will take nominations to prepare for our April elections.

  • Winter Sweats & Coats Drive

    January 11-19. 2025

A huge thank you to our parishioners!

Due to your generosity and support for our Gently Used
sweats and coat drive, we were able to deliver 40 bags of clothing to Catholic Worker House. The pictures are only part of what was collected. Over 370 individual items were included. The hard working people at CWH who serve the homeless communities and those in need in our area were incredibly grateful and sent gratitude and God’s Blessings to all.
