Eucharistic Ministry

“The opportunity for us to receive Christ in both body and blood strengthens the bond we have with Jesus. The Eucharist is the source and center of our spiritual life.”

The Extraordinary Ministry of the Eucharist was formed to assist the celebrant, other priests, and deacons with the distribution of Holy Communion during the weekday and Sunday masses. Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist also assist in bringing the Eucharist to those confined to their homes and nursing/group homes in the area.

Training for ministers is provided by the church.  This service will require you to grow, in confidence, dexterity, agility, and reverence in the way you handle chalices, purificators, ciboria, and pyxes and you will be trained to handle species appropriately and respectfully.

After training, the service of an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister is scheduled monthly.
